Rules Caribbean Poker
Caribbean Poker is one of the many variants of poker games that you will find on the virtual casinos presented by 888casinogames
You will find it close to poker Texas hold'em games, quite similar to Let it ride Poker and classical video poker games and this will help you to learn quite easily the aim of the game, its rules and the strategies you can use!
Just like in most poker games, the aim is to have the best hand. While playing Caribbean Poker, you are playing against the bank, or the dealer.
At the beginning of the game, once your wager is placed, five cards are given out to you, these 5 cards make up your hand.
Five cards are also given out to the dealer. One of these cards is face up (you can see it), the other four cards are face down and invisible to you.
It is now up to you to decide wether you will follow or if you will fold. When folding, you loose the amount of your initial bet.
If you decide to play the game, you must then make a new bet of the same amount of your initial bet. At this moment, the dealer's cards will be shown and the two hands are compared.
If the dealer has at least one Ace, one King or better, he will be qualified. If his hand doesn't allow him to qualify, he looses and therefore gives you back your initial wager.
If the dealer qualifies and his hand is higher than yours, you loose your initial wager and your secondly added bet.
If the hands, yours and the dealers, are equal, there is a tie and you take your chips back.
If the dealer has at least one Ace or one King (he qualifies) but your hand is stronger than his, the bank pays your initial wager on the basis of 1 to 1 and pays your secondly added bet according to the quality of your hand, see table below.
In a game of Caribbean Poker you can also participate, if you like, to a progressive jackpot. The amount of this jackpot is indicated in a table in the high left corner of the table. The wager for this progressive jackpot is of $1.00 per game. Whatever the result, the players who participate to this jackpot will get a bonus for their hand according to the following table :
